Rose Bowl Competition – Pitsford 14th June 2008 Members and Guests Match Results
Sorry no photos....
Spring Boat Pairs Competition – Pitsford 18th May 2008 Complete Results:
The day was overcast with a North Easterly wind. The forecast was good as a GWFFA match the day before had plenty of limits but the fish were small. The rod average was 2.8 with fish falling for buzzers and nymphs.
Tackling up ready for a days fishing
Heading for the hot spots
Off the water at lunch time to enjoy another great BBQ courtesy of Pat and Paul with game meat provided by Tony .. delicious and a welcome break for everyone to meet, chat and compare tactics.
Plenty of activity at the weigh in after a more difficult afternoon session with most members managing to catch fish. ************************************************************************************ Spring Bank Competition - Draycote 13th April 2008
Everyone met at the lodge for 8.30 prospects looked good
The weather was overcast with the wind blowing into the natural bank
Not quite strong enough for back casting
Most members headed for the natural bank which had been fishing well all week. This time last year we had been basking in 25 degrees of heat - not quite the same this time with cool winds and heavy showers.
Our eventual winner Mick Facey showing his stuff!
